A Temporary Delay, A Stronger Tomorrow: Event Postponement Announcement

As the catastrophic events continue to unfold and affect Maui and with the total devastation of Lahaina, we find ourselves united in the face of this catastrophe. Therefore, we must announce the postponement of our Thursday, August 24th Member Meeting.
As we navigate the aftermath of the wildfires, our thoughts are with those who have lost homes and tragically loved ones. As we mourn our losses, we stand together with resilience and determination, knowing that brighter days lie ahead. This postponement is temporary — an opportunity for us to reflect, refocus, rebuild, and emerge even stronger.
Know that as we refocus our TradeWinds Vocational and Training Program, now scheduled to start on Tuesday, August 29th, we work will inspire, connect, and empower our displaced workforce with hope and a new path forward.
We firmly believe that, in the wake of adversity, there is immense potential for growth and positive transformation. Our TradeWinds Vocational Training and Education Programs will continue on and play a pivotal role in the recovery and rebuilding process.
Our accelerated twelve-week program, provide our student, with the opportunity to earn as they learn new skills. Then, upon completion of their training, afford our students with the opportunity to take a position as a paid intern within in a local facility or business which can lead to permanent employment. We will work to ensure those affected by the wildfires join us armed with new skills and hope for a brighter future in Maui. While we’re not immediately able to gather on the 24th for our Member Meeting, our commitment to making a difference in helping Solve Maui’s Common Facilities Problems Through Communication, Collaboration and Education remains unwavering. The delay gives us time to enhance our offerings, making sure that when we come together again, our gathering
will be an experience that uplifts, educates, and brings us all closer.
